Why is my new workout routine causing me to gain weight?

HELP!!!!!!
Let’s talk about weight gain when you are working out consistently and eating right! So, I recently started a new work out program. I must say it’s a pretty advanced program that has me sore after every session, For example, if the day is hamstrings and glútes you better believe I am sore within the next 48 hours! I must admit I like it! I like how I feel when I’m done with each vigorous workout, BUT what I don’t like is how my scale went up 7 pounds! Yes I know, we shouldn’t focus so much on the scale or a number that’s on it but my mind has always been set to look at a number… (pretty silly I know)! We should always focus on how we feel, how our clothes are fitting, and hell even the inches lost but I feel like a balloon! Now for women it’s different than men, we have all these girly things going on that makes our weight fluctuate often! That statement makes me cringe but it’s the truth! I know that for most of us who start a workout regimen and eat right it can get sooooo discouraging and make us want to give up but we can’t! I have been consistent for a while now and if I haven’t said it enough that spike on the scale really has me worked up to a certain point, but let’s also remember stress plays a factor in weight loss and must be minimized for our bodies to respond well. Now according to google the reason we gain weight when starting a new workout regimen is this simple, “A new exercise regimen puts stress on your muscle fibers. This causes small micro tears, also known as micro trauma, and some inflammation. … Your body responds to the micro tears and inflammation in two ways that cause temporary water weight gain.” I did some research and pretty much every source said the same thing a different way. I enjoyed reading this article on the Shape website https://www.shape.com/weight-loss/tips-plans/help-why-does-my-workout-cause-weight-gain check it out! Has this happened to you? Is this happening to you? What did or are you doing to cope with this temporary water weight gain? I’d love to read your feedback!

Hello Fresh Review

HelloFresh is an international meal delivery company with a presence in the United States, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Australia, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland and Canada. I ordered a family meal package and had it delivered Tuesday. At first I was

not to sure if I was going to like the food they sent but was eager to try it. My meal box arrived and I unwrapped it. The food was well packaged and I like how they put the two ice pack sheets in the box to make sure the meat didn’t go bad. I unboxed my package and put it away in my fridge. The next day I finally got up and prepared my first meal, which was mini meatloaves, red cabbage and sweet potato wedges. The recipes were super easy to follow and WOW the cook time was less than 35 minutes! I was amazed at how delicious everything came out. Hello Fresh sends you everything you need to make the meals from the produce and meat down to the seasoning. Take a look at my cooking photos:

I absolutely LOVE the idea of this company and will continue to order! Try it out and use my code for 40.00 off your first box! You cancel or skip weeks anytime and its all easily done through an app on your phone. Let me know what recipes you try or are your fave!

My Locker was broken into at Xsport Fitness Norridge

Hey everyone! I haven’t posted in a while as there has been SOOOO much going on. You all know I am a fitness freak. I love to work out and get my sweat on, well last week Thursday following my daily routine I dropped my daughter off at school and was super excited to hit the gym because

I made a killer leg workout I wanted to try. I got to the Xsport Fitness parked my car and walked into the locker room. I had my headphones and all my workout gadgets with me. Let me remind you I NEVER take a purse with my important documents in it. I had my passport and license and social security in it. I needed these documents for an appointment I had after the gym. I did have cash and of course some makeup and just things I felt I wanted to carry in my purse. Well while I was upstairs away from my locker I received two alerts that my chase debit card was being used. I immediately called Chase thinking I had dropped my debit card. I had it canceled but I was like over thinking how I could have possible dropped my card. Well I hurry to finish my workout because I thought maybe someone broke into my car. When I get to my locker I noticed my lock wasn’t on and no where to be found. At that moment my heart dropped. I felt a rush of tears because as I opened my locker my purse was missing. I panicked I had no clue what to do! How could this happen?? Ive been going to Xsport Fitness for years. I then contacted the manager Kamila who I must say I appreciate a lot because she was so helpful in identifying the person. I did contact Norridge police to make a police report. Officer Cortez who is also an amazing person for helping me and being so patient and answering my questions and hearing me rant no matter what did everything he could do to make sure everything was done in a timely manner . We know who the girl is and I even ran into her at the gym. She was there three times after I was robbed and possibly could have been ripping others off as well. I am now waiting on the “detectives” who I’m not so happy with because they are dragging their feet on arresting her. I did want to update my readers because I have been posting about it on social media. Ive been so lazy to go to the gym since this has happened I just feel such a negative energy now and its not cool. Im going to resume my normal activities but I hope this thief is caught and put behind bars
Photo of the damage she did to the locker to get my lock off:

This is what she looks like:

Here is a video to my Facebook of when I saw her and recorded her at the gym:

The countdown begins!

Let me start by saying HAPPPPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!! This is my first post of the year and yes I am going to tell you about a different weight loss approach I have taken that is finally doing me justice!

I am on the clock to get back in shape I have some photo shoots coming up that I’m really excited about!!! So…

As most of us know being a mom is tough we work so hard to take care of our little ones that we kind of put ourselves last. Well I was on a low fat diet that DID now work due to me moving and school and work. So I started researching other options of what I could possibly do. I needed something that was going to give me results to motivate me! Well while shopping the isles of Walmart one night I saw these Atkins starter kits. I’ve heard of the Atkins diet but never really wanted to invest my time to learn about it. I decided why not let me read the book and see what it’s about! I read the book in one day. The next day I went to buy the foods and started my Atkins journey December 30, 2013. I must say so far I have lost 4 pounds so about a pound a day which is NOT bad at all. Even though the very first day I had the worst headache and felt somewhat ill it was worth it! I now have energy I haven’t had since before I had my daughter! I’ve been tempted to work out but am holding out until I’m done with the induction phase. I am planning to do the induction phase for a month since I want to lose about 50 pounds! Honestly if anyone is considering Atkins I say go for it! I’m not left hungry and I don’t get cravings. Who wouldn’t want to eat bacon and eggs for breakfast?? Lol if any one is reading this and has tried the Atkins diet please share your success story with me!  This is the book I read and keep with me for reference.

A fast way to lose weight….

It takes a long time of intense study of the human body to realize the balance of metabolism, fat cells and side effects that can result in weight loss while staying healthy. The HCG diet was discovered quite by accident by Doctor A.T.W. Simeons over 50 years ago as he worked to cure malnutrition in underdeveloped villages.

HCG, or human chorionic gonadotropin is the hormone that Simeons discovered in pregnant women. While observing healthy women during their pregnancy, he noticed that as soon as the child was born, the health of the mother began to deteriorate. There had to be a reason and this is when HCG was discovered. This naturally occurring hormone is created by the body to nourish and protect the fetus by taking the stored fat reserves and changing to nutrition for the placenta. If this new discovery could actually drain fat cells and transform to positive natural energy, it might actually help people with obesity

What is the HCG diet???
There are three different types of fat found in the body. Structural fat is found nestled between the skin and organs and is necessary as a protective layer. Normal reserve fat is the layer that supplies the body with energy when calorie intake is too low. The abnormal fat is what forms as extra fat in hips, waist, thighs and buttocks and is not used for anything. This is the only fat that is consumed by HCG. Many ask why a low calorie diet would not lead to the same results. The facts are simple. By starving your body of protein and vitamins, it will take whatever is needed from any type of fat, including structural and normal reserve fats. This is why once you stop a low calorie diet, not only are lean muscles destroyed but the weight comes back with a vengeance as abnormal fat. Nothing was really accomplished except for redistributing the fat.

The HCG fat release program consists of three different phases. The first phase consists of building up your fat reserves by eating as much as you like for two days while beginning the treatment of HCG drops. After this, phase two is started. For the next 23 to 40 days, a 500-calorie diet consisting of vegetables, fruits and two meals of 3.5 oz. of protein are followed while taking the HCG. Phase three is the maintenance part of the diet and a new way of living. Each as much as you want as long as starches and sugar are eliminated.

The reason for Phase 1 is to get the HCG circulating in the body before the regiment begins. After two days, the brain will have had ample time to know that the release of fat is to start. Adding to the fat reserves during this period is crucial by signaling the HCG of what process needs addressed. As you enter into Phase 2 of the program, an average weight loss of 1-2 pounds per day will be seen. You continue for the amount of days that it takes to get to a desired weight. Going into Phase 3, continue on the 500-calorie diet for two days to allow the HCG to completely leave your system. No more treatments should then be needed.

Clinics and physicians have used the HCG protocol successfully for many years. Measured injections of this hormone in combination of a strict lean diet have brought about life changing results in many people that have tried several different diets. But this was a very expensive way to lose weight. Laboratories have now been able to create a homeopathically prepared natural medicine that can be used without the medical supervision once required. Through manufacturing small quantities of HCG and diluting, once toxic side effects have been eliminated.

What Is The HCG Diet and What Are Benefits?

There are many benefits found in the HCG diet that are not found in fad diets.

· Testosterone levels are slightly elevated and metabolism is increased
· A redistribution of fat is realized and one notices a decrease of flabby fatty areas
· There is no starvation from lack of calories because the body is
· naturally fulfilled
· Fat burning without compromising muscle is produced
· An increased libido in both men and women have been reported
· A decreased craving for sweets
· Inexpensive and simple program to follow

Most people find that by using normal diets, even in combination with exercise, it is a chore to keep useless fats from reappearing. The constant battle of trying to produce energy may lead to diet protein drinks and spending more money just to keep from feeling fatigued and tired. The time tested HCG protocol lets you enjoy naturally induced energy while reaping the benefits of weight loss. Your unneeded fat stores will be released into the blood stream and eliminated without a tinge of hunger.

Homeopathic HCG products have been approved by the FDA for treatment of regulating menstruation and as a conception aid but have not been approved specifically for weight loss. As time progresses and more studies are completed, weight loss may be added to the list of assets. Always check with your physician before beginning any type of diet to make sure there are no underlying medical problems. It has been determined by medical specialists that the HCG diet does not have an adverse affect with any medications, including birth control.

For more information on the research conducted by Dr. Simeons, you can read his book titled Pounds and Inches that was published and released in the 1970s. The HCG diet makes sense and is a natural way to lose weight without losing muscle, protein and vitamins. Designed for both women and men, you will realize your potential for healthy weight loss and how to control in an amazing short amount of time.

Its time to get your body ready for summer!

Wouldnt you like to have that rockin body everyone looks at??
Hey loves! So as I was watching the snow fall today I started to think and normally the snow makes people lazy and not want to go out anywhere but it did the complete opposite for me! Its already mid January! Spring and summer are already around the corner so that means its time to start whipping back into shape and getting your body bikini ready! If any one is an expert in weight loss I would definitely say I have first hand experience because I was once a “BIG” girl but after following the steps I am going to provide you with I lost an incredible amount of weight and it has stayed off! I am no longer ashamed to share my story!

The First Step to losing weight!

The first step to losing weight involves getting your mind and body ready for the long journey ahead. Safe and long-term weight maintenance requires a lifetime commitment to a healthier lifestyle. Start your new lifestyle by analyzing your habits and determining where you want your weight loss to take you.

System Cleanse
Yes! I mean a colon cleanse I do this 4 times a year to eliminate toxic waste and help slim down my stomach! Go to your local health store like GNC or VitaminWorld and pick one up! Once your system is cleansed you can start a fresh diet by eating healthy. Add more vegetables, soup, salad and fruits and water into your diet!

Food and Exercise Diary

The very first step to losing weight involves determining what bad habits you have. Keeping a food and exercise diary can help you see your poor eating habits and track the amount of exercise you do each week. Write down everything you eat or drink throughout the day, including small bites taken while cooking. Your journal may help you identify emotional eating and other bad habits if you also write down how you felt when you ate, how full you were after eating, what you did during the meal and who you ate with. Continue keeping your journal throughout your weight loss to help you track progress and to remain accountable for your eating and exercise habits.
I have an app in my iphone that does all of this for me I just have to put in the information and it keeps track of my weight what I eat my calories etc. If you have a smart phone try downloading the app Lose IT! Trust me it helps!

Goals

Goals help you plan your weight loss step by step as you transition into a healthier lifestyle. Plan to reach your goal weight slowly through small weekly changes to your diet and exercise routine. Analyze your food and exercise diary to determine areas you can change. Set realistic targets that promote gradual changes to your lifestyle. Make your goals achievable. For instance, make aim to lose 1 lb. each week by exercising 30 minutes each day and reducing your portion sizes to one serving. Goals that aim for things like losing 10 lb. in one week tend to undermine your weight loss attempts.

Emotional Readiness

Major life distractions and emotional issues may interfere with your weight loss success. Common emotional barriers include marital stress, financial difficulties, illness, anxiety, depression, job stress and eating disorders. Try to eliminate emotional issues as part of your analysis of your weight loss readiness. Some issues, such as past eating disorders, anxiety and depression may need professional intervention.

Support

Support provides the final part of the analysis phase prior to starting weight loss. Think about the people in your life that may help or hinder your weight loss attempts. Temptation and setbacks occur frequently during weight loss. Make sure you have someone you can turn to for support and encouragement. If no one in your life can fulfill this role, consider joining a support group for weight loss or find ways to keep your motivation high.
